Help GreenNest Poultry Farm Expand Fresh Egg Production Across Nakuru County

GreenNest Poultry Farm began four years ago with just 250 laying hens on a small family-owned plot outside Nakuru. Through careful management, quality feed, and consistent hygiene practices, the farm has grown to supply fresh eggs to neighborhood grocery stores, hotels, schools, and local households. As demand for affordable, high-quality eggs continues to rise, we are no longer able to produce enough to meet customer orders.

Many of our regular buyers now request larger weekly deliveries than we can supply. Unfortunately, limited housing space and production capacity force us to turn away new customers every month. Expanding now will allow us to meet this demand while creating additional employment opportunities within our community.

We are seeking KSh1,500,000 in working capital to significantly increase our egg production capacity. The funds will be used to:

• Build two additional poultry houses to accommodate a larger flock.

• Purchase 2,000 healthy layer chicks from certified hatcheries.

• Install automated feeding systems to improve efficiency, reduce feed waste, and maintain consistent feeding schedules.

• Purchase quality poultry feed to support the birds through the growing and laying stages.

This expansion is expected to increase our daily egg production by more than three times within the first year. Higher production will enable us to serve existing customers reliably, supply new retailers, and improve the farm's long-term sustainability.
